Prof. Amaresh Chakrabarti is a Senior Professor and current Chairman of the Centre for Product Design & Manufacturing, IISc Bangalore. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Institution of Engineering Designers UK, He is the co-author of DRM, a Design Research Methodology, which is used widely as a framework for design research. He founded IDeAS Lab – India’s first Design Observatory, co-initiated India’s first Smart Factory Lab, and also heads IISc-TCS Innovation Lab, IISc Press, and Springer International Book Series on Design Science & Innovation.

Dr Shakuntala Acharya is an Assistant Professor at Dept. of Desgn, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IITG). She completed her PhD at IDeAS Lab, Centre for Product Design & Manufacturing, IISc Bangalore. Her research interests lie in the areas of Design Conceptualisation, Creativity and Innovation; Sustainability and Environmentally-benign Design; Design pedagogy, Problem-based Learning, Design Thinking and Design methodology.

Mr. Apoorv Bhatt is a PhD student at IDeAS Lab, Centre for Product Design & Manufacturing, IISc Bangalore. He is author/ co-author of 13 international papers in the area of design, creativity & design education. He did his BTech in Mechanical engineering from CHARUSAT, Gujarat and MTech in Mechanical engineering from Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gujarat. His research interests include Design thinking Process, Creativity, Education and Learning.
